Idrissa Ouedraogo

He was born in Burkina Faso. He studied at the African cinema institute of Ouagadougou and worked on head of cinema production. He made his first short film Poko in 1981. He travelled in Soviet Union, in Kiev. He graduated in France at IDHEC. His first feature film Yam Daabo was shown at La Semaine de la critique in Cannes in 1987.
