In Colombia in the year 2000, a farmer, wife and mother of four, became the victim of an unusual act of terrorism. Unable to pay a ransom of 7.000 dollars, Elvia is turned into a human time bomb an is now trapped in a physical and mental circumstance from which she and her family try to break free. Inspired by an actual event, PVC-1 is a film shot in one continuous take.


Spiros Stathoulopoulos

Born in 1978, Spiros Stathoulopoulos was raised in Thessaloniki., He started making films at an early age. At 14, five years after his family has moved from Greece to Colombia, he earned his first award with a fiction video short. At 18, he served in the Greek Army, before going to Hollywood to finish his cinema education. PVC-1 is his first feature film.
