Les Indiens Sont Encore Loin

Fortnight 1977, Feature film, 1h35

Synopsis

The film is a flash-back : the first scene – Jenny lying in the snow – illustrates the last sound – the speaker announcing her death on the radio. Between those two poles, I tried to recreate from the unit time-space the last week of this teenager, revealing what made her death possible, but not what cause dit. Jenny Kern’s death is alarming, because nothing in her life is exceptionnal : Jenny has boarding and lodging, her grand mother shows her great affection. At school, she is taught and educated, initiated by Lise and her friends to contestation and rebellion. This must not be enough. For she leaves. She dies. Patricia MORAZ
