Synopsis

Surrealistic story of an MP abandoned by his wife, located in Contemporary France. It includes strong, erotic scenes, the ‘vertical smile’ designating the women’s sex. It also incidentally deals with research about Joan of Arc.

He was a painter. He was an iluustrator at Le Seuil Publishing House. He used to denonce torture in Algeria. He directed several animation films for the ORTF, a publicly owned brocasting organization. he directed two feature films: Le Socrate ( special prize of the jury in Venice ) and Le Sourire vertical, censored for pornography. He wrote essays and a novel, L’Inadmissible.
