Il Saprofita

Fortnight 1974, Feature film, 1h37

Synopsis

In all repressed societies, the church, perceived as a call to the magical, encourages sin to better absolve and redeem. And this is how its power, still intact, continues to suppress the hints of clear-headedness that could emerge in the weakest consciences.
The film, which takes place in the South, shows this reality that unfortunately still exists, especially in certain noble families, confined in their always shrinking boundaries and their tragic fear of living.
If the devil didn’t exist already, the church would invent it right away!
