Heaven

Fortnight 1987, Feature film, 1h19

Synopsis

I was always interested in doing a film about Heaven. The idea of Heaven has always been very dreamlike and surreal. It is just absolutely intriguing and frightening at the same time because what is Heaven? Who can describe what Heaven is? It is very hard to visualize without being kind or funny. So I thought it would be very interesting to spend some time to hear what people think about Heaven and to collect images that seem to be related to Heaven. I loved the people we interviewed for the film. And finally, I thought, after having completed the movie, that a nice thing about Heaven is that it really makes me happy being alive and I do not look forward to seeing what Heaven is going to be like.
