Synopsis
Isaac, a young yeshiva student, an only child to born again orthodox parents. Trapped in a dysfunctional family and a failing body, Isaac finds refuge in wandering. Tormented by his newfound infertility, Isaac looks for answers in his father’s dubious past. Wandering through the backstreets of the city, he seeks deliverance.
Director
Avishai Sivan (born 1977, Israel) is a film director and artist whose works have been presented in cinemas, museums and galleries in Israel and Europe. His cinematic diaries A Soap Opera of a Frozen Filmmaker, won the Best Experimental Film at the Jerusalem Film Festival in 2007. The Wanderer is Sivan’s first feature film.
