51st Directors’ Fortnight May 15-25, 2019

Ei

Fortnight 1988, Feature film, 57mn

Synopsis

In the beginning there was a happy end, and a bright sunny atmosphere. Then there was the protagonist and the rhythm. The plot came nest, together with the bus, dialogue and framing. I was making a film. Egg is not about something, it simply is. Just as a dinner, a symphony or love-making are not necessarily about something. I guess a good cook or an attentive lover would have done the same. Gathering the stuff which films are made of, looking for the right balance, tempo, counterpoints. I put both my brain and heart into it. I hope I not only enjoyed doing it, but aslo I send you home with more than just a full belly. Danniel Danniel
