51st Directors’ Fortnight May 15-25, 2019

Fortnight 1991, Feature film, 1H40

Julia is a mature woman, short and plump, with pretty legs, an expressive face and an almost infantile charm. She lives alone with her daughter and works as a telephone operator for the Telmex company. Passionately fond of dance, she is a regular customer at the Colonia Dance Hall where she has had the same partner for ten years : Carmelo, a wonderful dancer, about fifty, dark and tall, with charming manners and a beautiful shaped moustache over a dazzling smile. But one day, Carmelo disappears…
