Cantique de la racaille
When Gaston picked up Marie-Pierre hitch hiking, he could never have guessed that a peach of this kind would stay with him. And his greasy spoon in northern Paris looks nothing like a palace. But it’s the beginning of a great adventure and new times. No more seedy little fencing jobs, no more evenings at Saïd’s with the local whinos, no more struggling to make ends meet. Here come the big time affairs, the fancy restaurants, the money. Gaston has made it and very well, thank you. Extramill is a prosperous and re-spected company, and Marie-Pierre is the girl of his dreams. But Gaston has some bizarre sensations. Paranoid attacks. A little voice in the back of his head that sings a gloomy and monotonous song. There’s often a flip side to fame and fortune. Will the circle close like a hellish vise around his brain ?
He was an assistant director on more than 100 films for cinema, TV, advertising and clips. He is an author. He made short films. He wrote for Libération, Le serpent à plumes, for example. Based on a novel, Cantique de la racaille is his first feature film ( Flammarion publishing ).
