Synopsis

Bintou lives in Ouagadougou with her husband, Abel, and three children. One day, overriding Abel’s opposition, she decides that their daughter will go to school. But she has to make money first….
Bintou is part of the Mama Africa series. The film won the Best Short Prize at the Fespaco 2001.

Director

Fanta Régina Nacro

She was born in Burkina Faso. She is a director and a screenwriter. She participated as a script in Yam Daabo in 1986. Her short film Le Truc de Konaté was awarded at the Fespaco in 1999 and in many international festivals.
