Manipulated by an oppressive and jealous husband, Gloria runs away with her daughter and restarts herlife far from men and the world. Encouraged by her friend Madeleine, Gloria agrees to meet Michel via a dating website. Something happens between them at first sight. Michel, a small time, bottomof the range crook is disturbed and Gloria falls hopelessly in love. Michel leaves out of fear but Gloria tracks him down and makes him promise never to leave her again. Desperate to save this love, she abandoned her daughter and decided to pose as Michel’s sister so he could continue his little scams. But jealousy gradually blighted Gloria’s life..

In 1999, the short film A Wonderful Love gave us a taste of a filmmaker with a singular vision. In 2004 Calvaire established him as one of the leading figures in young Belgian cinema, and the film was presented at Cannes. Between 2008 and 2013 he made Vinyan (Venice Film Festival) and a commissioned film Colt 45. In 2014 he worked with Laurent Lucas again on Alleluia the second part of his Ardennes trilogy, initiated with
