Synopsis

Joan is a member of a group of volunteers. She participates in staged accidents. That is how they prepare for emergencies. Her kindness is impossible. Perhaps she is Joan of Arc herself. Perhaps this is purgatory itself. This film is the first scene of an opera triptych.

Kornél Mundruczó

: Born in 1975, Kornél Mundruczó graduated as an actor at the University of Film and Drama in 1998. In the same year he studied directing at the same university and graduated in 2003. During these years he’s made several short films, among them « AFTA » and « Pleasant Days », which won the Silver Leopard at Locarno in 2002.
