Specialist of art film, he won in 1980 the Grand Prize for script at Beaubourg, and at the Cannes Film Festival as well as a César nomination for his first film, Panoplie (a fictional documentary about the painter Jacques Monory). After he made reports and institutional films, he founded his own production company and directed two movies for Guimet Museum. For 6 years, he shot the building of La Cité de la Musique. He directed reports for a TV magazine.
