Emmanuel Carrère, born in 1957, is a well-known French writer. He is the author of many prize-winning novels, essays and screenplays. His novels “Class Trip” and “The Adversary” were respectively made into films by Claude Miller and Nicole Garcia. In 2003, his documentary Return to Kotelnitch was presented at the Venice Biennale. The Moustache is his first fiction film, adapted from his eponymous novel. Ouistreham is a loose adaptation of Florence Aubenas’s “Le Quai de Ouistreham”.
