Screenwriter, author, actor and director, he made his first feature film Last Night, a dramatic comedy on the end of the world. He studied at the Candian Film Center and started working with two short ilms, The Bloody Nose, and Blue, with David Cronenberg, which won an award in Chicago. He often worked with Bruce McDonald and participating in the writing of screenplays for Roadkill, Highway 61, Dance me outside and Twitch City. He also performed in these films. He worked with François Girard on the writing of Thirty-Two Short Films About Glenn Gould, and The Red Violin. He performed in cinema as well as TV and theater ( for example The Book Rejection of Augusta company ); he won a Genie Award for his play in Exotica, by Atom Egoyan.
