Born in 1971, Claire Doyon studied literature before moving to New York to study drama. In 1996, she enrolled at the Femis film school to study directing. Her graduate thesis film, « Le Vent souffle où il veut », was selected for Cannes, Angers and the Venice film festival, where it received a special mention. « Les Lionceaux » is her first feature.
