Until 1983, he lives in Lebanon, while civil war. He went to San Diego to study cinema; he also studied in UCLA. He was first a camera operator. He now live both in France and in the USA. He worked with Quentin Tarantino, Roberto Rodriguez, for example. West Beyrouth is his first full length film.
