On the square facing Malmaison there is a large tented space that serves as a reception area for the public and for accredited professionals. This area includes ticket sales counters, accreditation services, as well as the Directors’ Fortnight shop. Other spaces are reserved for filmmakers, as a relaxation and info access area, and for daily Q & A sessions with the public.
The Q&A sessions are held in a tent that is accessible from the Croisette. These sessions are held after 9h, 11h and 14h screenings and are open to all. The sessions are chaired by the artistic director and/or members of the selection committee. They give filmmakers and the production team an opportunity to get initial audience feedback on their films.
Duration: 30 minutes
Number of seats: 80
All sessions are filmed.
The Fortnight shop is located at the entrance to the square, and sells clothing ( Male/Female/Child tee-shirts) and accessories (Cap/Bags) with the Fortnight logo.
The Fortnight Club
The Fortnight Club is a private club located on the beach in front of the Amouretti Street (Queues). The Fortnight welcome here, the collaborators of selected films, the press, its sponsors, as well as all film professionals who have invitations. Photographer Xavier Lambours has his photocall corner here, where actors and directors have their presence at the Fortnight recorded for posterity.
