A poetic exploration involving the director's search for the real identity of her great-uncle, Henry Hall. Each member of her family concocts a different story about this mysterious relative. He is variously described as a murderer, Churchill's chauffeur, croupier or gambler, war hero, spy for M15 or the Mossad. During the investigation, we discover some facts, but the memory of Henry Hall remains obscure and his personal story elusive. Apart from the facts, the film deals with what Jacques Derrida calls the trace...
