Ma vie en rose is a film about being different. It deals with a little boy, Ludovic, who thinks he's a little girl. What is normal to him is not necessarely normal for others; there are things you do and things you don't, even if they seem natural to us. The film also deals with parents who don't know how to deal with the stubbornness and convictions of their child. Parents who react the only way they can, who are hurt when their neighbors give them reproachful stares. The films deals with a quiet neighborhood that learns about what it means to be different, the fear of others, incomprehension and rejection. It deals with dreams, magic and hope.
