« Les Enfants du Placard » is my second film. Different I think from the first, but one that could not have been made by another. It speaks of love, in expectation of the worst. Childhood has a prominent part to play. Here, as elsewhere, only feelings are taken into consideration, wich is not without risks. For the melody played on this keyboard often recalls that abjection. The whys and wherefores of emotion. We should almost only speak of films, or of any other thing, in moral terms. I hope that the film is consistent with what I wanted it to be : it is a success if it is what I wanted it to be ; paradoxically, because it is you who will tell me if it is, for I do not know at all.
