This is a film about people's private lives, a "conversation" movie... There are already many films about people enjoying themselves or performing reprehensible acts, but I don't know of any where the characters just sit around and talk about such activities. This was a subject which had never been tackled by the movies. It was something new and that's one of the reasons I wanted to work on it. Basically, this film is about people I know and love, despite their faults. It's kind of the story of my life, and the lives of my friends. Denys Arcand
