Shinji and Masaru are carefree seniors at a troubled high school. Thier daily routine consists of belligerent persuasion on their fellow students to surrender their milk money, long hours at a coffee shop and endless conversation about nothing in particular. The story takes a turn when the two begin to take interest in boxing. For Masaru, the tougher of the two, it is probably the first real choice has made in his life. But ironically, Shinji, forced by Masaru to join the boxing gym, reveals more talent in this sport than does his friend and wins a chance to become a professional boxer. With his dream short-lived and shattered, Masaru seeks a new career: that of a gangster. Though they take very separate roads, both boys experience broken dreams and hard facts of life.
