Emma is expecting her first child when she learns she has breast cancer. The doctor who breaks the news to her says an abortion will be necessary since, he says, the treatment is incompatible with her pregnancy. Her companion, Simon, persuades her to see another specialist, Dr Morin, who tells her she can undergo treatment and still remain pregnant. Emma's confidence returns. Her body, which has betrayed her, again becomes a nexus of life : from now on, she must fight for two.
