Au bout de la nuit
Until the day he committed his insane act, Rober Tanner had always led an unassuming life. He used to be a quiet, distant man, polite with his female customers and with his neighbors, although being sometimes a little tense. As his crime is getting closer, his perception gets out of hand and his internal distress grows. The tragedy took place on a Sunday night. Robert Tanner kills his wife and his young son Beni, although he loved them both. He acts with incredible coolness, as if he had to put his life in order. The following morning, at dawn, he quietly leaves the small family house in the outskirts of the city. On the train, he meets a travelling woman. For the first time in his life, Robert Tanner succeeds in talking about himself in a light way, taking real interest in other people and in the outside world
