Eugene Green founded the Théâtre de la Sapience in 1977. His drawers contain a great deal of unpublished work: plays, poems, stories. His first film, "Toutes les nuits", won the Delluc Prize. His 2001 mini-film, "Le Nom du feu" was presented at the Locarno Film Festival in 2002. He is currently working on an essay, "Présences" (to be published in autumn 2003), on the relationship between material and spiritual reality in cinematic representation.
