There is no need to make an accreditation request for the Directors' Fortnight if you already got a press accreditation. If have one, your accreditation provides access, under the same conditions as the Fortnight badge, to screenings at the Theatre Croisette at JW. MArriott, the Les Arcades cinema, Studio 13 at the MJC Picaud and at La Licorne.

Who can be accredited
You don’t need a Directors’ Fortnight accreditation if you are already accredited by the Cannes Film Festival, by the Film Market or if you have a press accreditation. All these accreditations provide access, under the same conditions as the Fortnight badge, to screenings at the Theatre Croisette (JW.Marriott) and the Arcades cinema.
The applicant must be a motion picture professional associated with the Directors' Fortnight current edition and belong to one of the following categories:
- Director/film crew member
Note: Making a request does not guarantee you will be accredited. Accreditation is not automatically renewable from year to year.
Accreditation is free and strictly personal.
Each request is submitted for approval by the services concerned.
Accreditation registration are closed since April 24, 2016.
Beyond this date, accreditations won’t be considered.
Picking up your accreditation
The accreditation badge can be picked up at the offices of the Directors’ Fortnight at La Malmaison, 47 La Croisette. Our offices are open on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. and every day from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Logo and Usability
Download the official logotype of The Directors’ Fortnight and the accompanying Usage Instructions. Theses files are strictly reserved for use by the production teams of films that have been selected, official partners and suppliers.
There are several variants of the logotype which are used according to context:
1. Main version : only for a use in French speaking countries.
2. French version with date (i.e. year): this variant is intended primarily for films in the selection, to reference the year of the film’s selection for the Directors’ Fortnight. French speaking countries only.
3. International version : this variant is intended for foreign films and partners, and for any other use outside French speaking countries.
By downloading these documents, you agree to respect the usability instructions attached to the logotypes.
The Directors' Fortnight selection will be posted online, on The Festival Scope Pro and the Cinando platform, as from the 22th of May, 2016.
The films screened during the Directors' Fortnight are selected under the responsibility of the Artistic Director, appointed by the board of directors of the Film Directors' Guild.
Except special cases, all films submitted for the Directors' Fortnight must fulfill the following requirements :
1 - Films must have been made during the 12 months preceding the 2016 Cannes film festival.
2 - With the exception of foreign films in their country of origin, they should not have been presented at any international festival or film event (except in the context of a film market).
3 - Short films must have been made during the 12 months preceding the 2016 Cannes film festival with a running time under 60 minutes. They should not have been presented at any international festival with the exception their origin (except in the context of a film market).
4 - Films must not have been shown on the Internet or broadcasted on TV or commercially released in France.
5 - If selected a DCP or a 35mm print will be required for the screening.
Submissions are now closed.
Films submitted for preselection can be presented: - Without subtitles if the original language is French or English - With French or English subtitles for all other original languages.
REGISTRATION FEES Submissions for feature films must include payment of entry. The payment is made through secured on-line payment at the time of the registration (only payment by credit card such as: Visa, Mastercard / Eurocard, and American Express is accepted). The preselection process will begin only after the entry fees are paid. Entry fees are not refundable.
