Who can be accredited
You don’t need a Directors’ Fortnight accreditation if you are already accredited by the Cannes Film Festival, by the Film Market or if you have a press accreditation. All these accreditations provide access, under the same conditions as the Fortnight badge, to screenings at the Theatre Croisette (JW.Marriott) and the Arcades cinema.
The applicant must be a motion picture professional associated with the Directors' Fortnight current edition and belong to one of the following categories:
- Director/film crew member
Note: Making a request does not guarantee you will be accredited. Accreditation is not automatically renewable from year to year.
Accreditation is free and strictly personal.
Each request is submitted for approval by the services concerned.
Beyond this date, accreditations won’t be considered.

" The heroin of our poster, captured by William Klein many decades ago in New York just before hitting the ball with her bat, is just like our own heroins.
Just like the female filmmakers who brought us into their dreams.
Barbara Loden, Chantal Akerman, Mira Nair, Clio Barnard, Houda Benyamina, Chloé Zhao, Céline Sciamma, Deniz Gamze Ergüven, Rungano Nyoni or Sólveig Anspach...
Just like the female characters that the Directors’ Fortnight has always magnified.
Patti Cake$, Viviane Amsalem, Camille who repeated a grade, Noha who survived her restless Moroccan nights, Amber the exterminating angel of Green Room, Marlina the murderer, Madeleine Beaulieu, sulky as Adèle Haenel, the lucid Manon who overshadowed her companion, Fatima the daring…
She will chair the fiftieth edition of a section born revolted, by impressing guys as in the photo…"
