Biography
Born in 1966, Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche came to France in 1968. He grew up in the Bosquet projects in Montfermeil, outside Paris. After studying social sciences, he founded Sarrazink Productions in 1999 and directed Wesh wesh, qu’est-ce qui se passe? in 2002, which received the Louis Delluc prize and the Grand Prize of the Berlin New Cinema Forum. In 2006, he made Bled Number One and received the Cannes Film Festival Youth Prize. Dernier Maquis is his thirst feature.
