
Didier Ouénangaré, 50, was born in Bambari in the Central African Republic. After studying film in Abidjan (Ivory Coast), he graduated from the University of Rennes. Since 1995, he has been directing shorts and documentaries in the CAR. Le Silence de la fôret, which he also co-wrote, is his first fiction film.
