
Born in 1968, Damien Odoul made his first short, La Douce, at the age of 20. In 1990, he won the special jury prize at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival with À l'Ouest de l'Orient, which was also selected for Cannes. Le Souffle, his first feature, won the International Critics' Prize at Venice.
