"I wanted to make a radiant film, dealing with episodes in the lives of three women." 57-year-old Monica is a worker. When she is laid off, she is offered a compromise agreement: early retirement. She lives with her two daughters, Gisèle and Sandra. For Monique, it's the first time she is without a job. She runs the admin-istrative gauntlet. Gisèle, an acting student, passes the entrance exam to the Paris Conservatory and starts a new life. Sandra is released from the the hospital where she was hospitalized after a suicide attempt and goes to the sea with some friends… This is the story of these three women...
